Crusaders Host Dallas Invitational

IRVING, Texas -- The University of Dallas men's cross country team continued their season with a strong performance as the host of the Dallas Invitational.

In a strong field of Athletic Scholarship programs, the Crusaders took third place in the field of five teams. Dallas finished with a score of 86.

Alexander Bozhilov led the pack and even challenged the race pace cart for Dallas, finishing in 1st place with a time of 16:30.6. Bozhilov broke the previous 3.1 mile school record of 16.39.3 set in 2016 by Thomas Hogan. Brennan McNamara, Philip Pacific and Theodore Conboy weren't far behind as they exhibited resilience on the toughest course in Texas. All coming in at or under 21 minutes, McNamara in 17:50.0, Pacific in 20:37.5 and Conboy in 20:46.5.  

Bringing it home for Dallas was Martin Lane (23:08.4).

Up next, the Crusaders will hit the road, the Nicholls State University Invitational.  The meet is set to be held on Saturday the 28th.
