IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas men's cross country team competed in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Championship on Saturday hosted this year in Irving at UD.  Dallas finished sixth out of the seven eligible teams with 144 points. St. Thomas University and Centenary College of Louisiana had athletics compete in the race, but were not eligible for team scores due to having an insufficient number of runners.

Dallas had eight runners compete in the race. The five Crusaders that scored were Nicholas Walz (Irving, Texas), Jonathan Cantu (Dallas, Texas), Ryan Connor (Overland Park, Kan.), Luke LaCour (Metairie, La.), and James LaTour (Lubbock, Texas). The all-freshmen quintet scored points for UD in 23rd, 24th, 27th, 31st, and 39th places, respectively, in their first collegiate race.

The top three teams were Colorado College, Trinity University, and Austin College each of whom scored under 100 points. Austin finished in 3rd with 90 points, Trinity in 2nd 37 points, and Colorado were the SCAC Champions with 26 points.
