Hogan awarded SCAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) selected Thomas Hogan (St. Louis, Mo.) from the University of Dallas men's cross country team as Runner of the Week. It is the first time the sophomore from Saint Louis, Missouri, achieved the accolade and second of three conference weekly honors that Dallas has won on the men's side. John James (Metairie, La.) won SCAC Runner of the Week two weeks ago. The only other time UD has won weekly laurels from two different male cross country runners was in 2013 by Gabriel Marasigan and Kevin Doherty.

Hogan ran a personal best in the Texas Lutheran Bulldog Invitational with a time of 16.33.99 and claimed second place overall. He was able to score one point for the Crusaders to help them take second place as a team. The lone runner faster than Hogan was Deion Hardy from Incarnate's Word (16.32.6). All runners from Incarnate Word were unattached and did not count toward the team score.

Dallas is back on the trails two weeks from now at the ETBU Invitational on October 1.
