Men's Cross Country Results in Division III Championship

MARSHALL, Texas – The University of Dallas men's cross country team claimed fourth place in the Division III rankings on Saturday at the Texas Division III Championship hosted by East Texas Baptist University (ETBU). Dallas tallied 93 points. LeTourneau University won the entire race with 48 points while ETBU posted 65 for second, and University of Texas at Dallas rounded out the top three rankings with a 66.

Out of 76 participants, senior Ryan McAnany (Kansas City, Kan.) continued to lead all Crusader runners with a 27:39.57 minute time. His total tabbed him for fourth in the overall standings and second in the Division III rankings.

Fellow teammate Jack Grubner (Needham, Mass.) took 18th with a time of 29:31.04.

A quartet of runners for the Crusaders garnered season personal records (PRs) on the day. Freshman Rafael Medina (Waco, Texas) clocked a 30:04.89 time to be the fastest member of that unit. Sophomore Peter deTar (Coeur d'Alene, Idaho) contributed a time of 31:35.22, and junior Matt Klem (Livermore, Calif) added a 32:42.30 time. Freshman Caine Mongeau (Little Elm, Texas) ran a 33:29.95.

This was UD's second consecutive 8k race this season, with the previous course being at the Codfish Bowl a week ago.
