Men's Cross Country Texas Lutheran Invitational Results

SEGUIN, Texas – The University of Dallas men's cross country team opened the fall 2015 campaign with a third place team finish at the Texas Lutheran University Invitational on Saturday. The host school, TLU, and St. Edwards University shared the top spots in the team side with each notching 40 points. The Crusaders rounded out the top three with a 72.

Junior Ryan McAnany (Kansas City, Kan.) raced off to a great start, claiming second overall and paced UD in the individual rankings with a time of 16:41.6 minutes. Only Angel Ramirez would top McAnany's mark with a 16:29.score, and be enough to win the individuals.

A trio of Crusaders broke into the top 20 out of 42 participants in Saturday's meet. Making his collegiate debut was freshman Rafael Medina (Waco, Texas) with a 10th place finish of an 18:14.6 time. Completing the unit was senior Javier Secaira (Tacoma, Wash.) with a time of 19:10.9 minutes. He notched 20th place.

Also racing for UD in its top five runners were sophomore Peter deTar (Coeur d'Alene, Idaho) and junior Matt Klem (Livermore, Ga.) with respective scores of 20:04.4 and 22:19.9 minutes.
