Men's Cross Country takes Fourth, McAnany motors to 11th as hosts of 2012 SCAC Championships

IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas men's cross country team placed fourth Saturday in the 2012 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Championships.

Freshman runner Ryan McAnany (La Quivira, Kan.) led the Crusaders with his 11th-place time of 28:12.79. McAnany's average mile was 5:40.5. 

Not far behind was freshman Javier Secaira (Tacoma, Wash.), who crossed at 28:27.82 for 16th on the 8K course. 

Colorado College's Nick Hall was crowned individual champion, with a first-place time of 26:48.23 out of 47 participants.

Dallas averaged 30:26.4 as a team, and finished 10 points behind Southwestern University for third overall. 

Trinity Univesity's average time of 27:37.7 merited first-place and an automatic NCAA regional berth.
