Crusaders Storm Into Texas Relays

AUSTIN, Texas - Alex Bozhilov puts the Crusaders on the map once again with a record-breaking performance in the 10,000-meter race. Shattering his own school record set back at the Rhodes invitational with a blazing time of 30:32.68, he secured 3rd place against a field of 11 NCAA D1 athletes and 1 D2 athlete. Alex's achievement marks a historic moment for UDallas athletics.

Coach Nick had this to say, "We are so happy that Alex came to compete at this historical and prestigious meet. It is all a strategy as he ran the Rhodes meet a few weeks ago to see where he stood and now with the Texas Relays we set up a plan based off of that race and it paid off. Alex is a numbers guy and while many athletes will use phases as a race strategy we went by race position and splits. Everything came to almost near perfection with what we wanted to execute during the race while scouting the other opponents. He did a fantastic job and he is great to work with."
