Crusaders Wrap Up Regular Season at Warhawk Classic

ABILENE, Texas - The University of Dallas men's track and field team competed in their last event of the regular season, competing in the McMurry University Warhawk Classic on Friday.  They participated in five track events and had four athletes compete in the shot put.

Seven Crusaders ran the 100 meters.  Uniikye Washington and DaShaun Merritt led the Dallas pack by recording PR's of 11.58 and 11.59, respectively.  TJ Williams (12.26) and Cayden DiSarro (12.72) were right behind, with Matt Holloway, samuel McLard, and Arsalan Monshizadeh rounding out the pack.

Merritt also set a new PR in the 200 meters with a time of 23.54; McLard was the only other Crusader in the event, finishing in 31.27.  Rory Henry ran the 400 meter dash (1:04.25) and the 400 meter hurdles (1:12.03), while Caleb Clayton ran the 800 meters in 2:16.52.

Four Crusaders registered marks in the shot put, with Gabriel King leading the way at 9.89 meters.  Ethan Mercer (7.17m), Michael White (5.75m) and Jacob Giunta (5.25m) all threw as well.  

The SCAC Championship will take place next weekend in San Antonio.  Trinity are hosting the two day event, starting on Saturday, April 23.
