McGuirk Breaks 400 Meter Hurdles School Record in Third Straight Meet; Shaves Off 0.63 Seconds on Saturday

MAGNOLIA, Ark. - The University of Dallas men's track and field team competed at the Dan Veach Invitational on Saturday. Kevin McGuirk (Front Royal, Va.) broke a school record in the 400 meter hurdles for the third straight meet and fourth time in his career. McGuirk shaved off 0.63 seconds for a time of 57.61 as he finished in third. McGuirk also set a Personal Record (PR) in the 110 hurdles finishing with a run of 17.24 for a fourth-place finish.  

- Solomon Schroder (Coupland, Texas) set personal records in the 100 meter (13.88) and 200 meter (25.60). Schroder also has a personal-best in his 4x4 split (62). 

- Ty Moran (Sallisaw, Okla.) made his track debut running in the 1500 meter race finishing at the 5:00.07 mark. This time notched a best from his high school career.

- Cecilio Huitron (El Paso, Texas) set a PR in the 100 meter (12.24).

- Gabe Volpe (Harrah, Okla.) made his debut in the 3000 meter steeplechase. He secured a time of 12:20.57.
