Men's Track and Field Results at War Hawk Classic

ABILENE, Texas – The University of Dallas men's track and field team returned to action after a couple weeks off and performed at the War Hawk Classic hosted by McMurry University. This competition featured several American Southwest Conference (ASC) school's including the host. There were also Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) opponents as Texas Lutheran University, Trinity University and Southwestern University all were present.

It was a windy day with gusts ranging 20-25 mph. 

The Crusaders tallied 23 points to finish ninth. Texas Lutheran amassed the most points with 185 to win the team rankings. McMurry followed with 173 points as those two programs broke triple-digits in points. NCAA Division II Lubbock Christian was the next highest finish at third with 68. Hardin-Simmons University was the third highest division III school earning 65 points.

NOTABLE RESULTS

- Prince Giadolor (Rockwall, Texas) shaved time off in the 100 Meter Dash after his spring debut earlier this month at the Marc Randle Classic. He finished fourth in the race with an 11.25 time.

- Giadolor and his fellow dual sport men's basketball teammate Jonathan Page (DeSoto, Texas) ran a personal record (PR) in the 100m with a 12.24 in his second meet of his career.

- John James (Metairie, La.) made his 5000m track debut and hit a 17:29.16 mark.

- Kevin McGuirk (Front Royal, Va.) captured PRs in the 400m Hurdles and Long Jump by respectively scoring a 1:02.36 and 5.51m distance. McGuirk tallied eight points by reaching fourth in the hurdles and sixth in the triple jump (9.90m). His time in the hurldes ranks 5th in the SCAC.

- Darrius Colvin (Waco, Texas) debuted for the first time this year on the High Jump and scored three points with a 1.80m leap. That ranks 5th highest in the conference. 

- Paulo Salazar (Dallas, Texas) made PRs in the Shot Put (11.87m) and Discus (35.69m). His new longest heave in the Shot Put gave him sixth.

- Will McEvoy (Dallas, Texas) also threw a PR in the Discus with a 21.00m.

Dallas heads back to Abilene next weekend for the Hardin-Simmons Invitational on April 1.
