Results from Walt Disney World Track and Field Open

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – The University of Dallas men's track and field team claimed two school records en route to a fifth place finish out of 16 programs this past weekend at the Walt Disney World Track and Field Open.

Highlighting the individual standings for the Crusaders was junior Ryan McAnany (Kansas City, Kan.) by winning the 5000 Meter. He took second place overall later in day two in the 1500 Meter open.

Junior Jack Grubner (Needham, Mass.) claimed second in the 10,000 Meter and sixth in the 1500 Meter as McAnany and him snagged top 10 finishes on the event.

Sophomore Kevin Doherty (Lenexa, Kan.) garnered second place in the Men's 3000 Meter Steeplechase for a season-best finish in the race. He ran 10:27.54 minutes in the heat.

On the field, sophomore Paulo Salazar (Dallas, Texas) took tenth place in the Discus with a 32.64 meter throw.

Dallas returns to the outdoor track next weekend on March 28 at the Oklahoma Baptist University Invitational in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
