Tigers Top Crusaders in Men's Soccer Clash

October 6, 2023

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The University of Dallas men's soccer team lost their conference opener against Trinity University 3-0 on Friday, falling to 1-6-2 on the year.

The Tigers were in the driver's seat early on, notching their first shot on goal and calling Uday Agarwal into action just over two minutes into the match.  They kept the pressure on the UD backline and opened the scoring 14 minutes in with a goal by Joseph Kuri.

It didn't take long for Trinity to double their lead, as Pieter Blank found the back of the net in the 22nd minute to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead.  Trinity put the proverbial nail in the coffin with goal number three, six minutes into the second half.

Dallas battled, but didn't register their first shot of the game until the 84th minute, as Roman Campos managed to test joshua Lynch in goal.  That would be the Crusaders' only shot on goal, as Trinity secured the win.

Conference play resumes on Sunday, as the Crusaders face off against Schreiner University.  Kick-off is scheduled for 2:30 pm from Kerrville, Texas.
