HOUSTON, Texas - The University of Dallas men's soccer team lost their conference match with the University of St. Thomas 7-0 on Sunday. They fall to 2-9-2 on the year and are 0-5 in conference play.
The early minutes of the match were even, with both teams playing well and creating chances. But the Celts scored their first and second goals in a 40 second window, completely changing the game and taking firm control from there.
St. Thomas made it 4-0 with goals in the 23rd and 27th minutes, then 5-0 with a goal inside the final three minutes of the half. They scored two goals in two and a half minutes to make it 7-0, with the remaining 36 minutes of the match being fought to a stalemate as the Celts took the win.
