Men's Soccer Records Third Straight Win vs St. Scholastica

Duluth, MN. - The University of Dallas men's soccer team won their third game of the season on Friday night.  On the road in Minnesota, the Crusaders defeated The College of St. Scholastica 2-1.

Dallas was first to strike.  In the 6th minute, Karson Pannell (Southlake, Texas) scored off a double assist by Antonio Gachineiro (São Paulo, Brazil) and Jose Martinez (Tegucigalpa, Honduras).

The Crusaders were the first team to score in the second half also, as Chase Reynold (Southlake, Texas) netted his first goal of the year off an assist by Matt Villarreal (Kingwood, Texas).

St. Scholastica narrowed the gap on a goal by Ken Pryde as the Saints finally got on the board in the 87th minute.  

UD held off a ferocious attack by St. Scholastica as the Crusaders were outshot 19-4 for the game with just one shot in the second half.  UD was also outshot in shots on goal, 7-3, and had fewer corner kicks, 8-4.

Reynolds was tied with Saints forward Jordan Finneran for the game high in shots and shots on goal with three and two, respectively.

Crusader goalkeeper Hayden Hampton earned his second clean sheet of the year along with six saves and received a yellow card in the 88th minute.

With the win Dallas improves to 3-0-0 (0-0-0), and with the loss St. Scholastica drops to 2-2-0 (0-0-0).  Dallas will continue their six game road trip on Sunday against Coe College at 2:00 PM, hosted by St. Scholastica.
