MATCH NOTES

- Dallas will begin its season at home for the seventh-straight year when they host Howard Payne University.

- UD hosted Howard Payne to open the season back in 2016. The Crusaders won that decision by a score of 5-1.

- Chase Reynolds (Southlake, Texas) returns to the pitch for his junior campaign after leading the Crusaders in points (12), goals (4), and assists (4) last season.

- Sean Carlin (Puyallup, Wash.) returns to the goalie position for Dallas after displaying four shutouts and only allowing 18 total goals last season.


(Opponent Notes)

- Howard Payne was voted to finish 10th in the American Southwest Conference (ASC) preseason polls.

- HPU finished the 2018 season 5-9 with a 4-7 conference record.

- The Yellow Jackets were limited to 13 goals all last season.

- Dallas is 6-5 all-time versus HPU.

- University of Wisconsin-Superior was voted as the unanimous preseason favorite in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference.

- UW-Superior is coming off a 19-3-1 record and a trip to the second round of the NCAA tournament, winning its first NCAA tournament game in program history.  

- Dallas beat the Yellowjackets 2-1 in 2017 in the only meeting between these two clubs. UD went on to grab its most wins in program history that season (17).

ROAD AHEAD

Dallas will continue its five-game home stand by hosting University of Mary Hardin-Baylor next Friday (Sept. 6). Kickoff is set for 7:00 from Crusader Field.
