KICKOFF
The University of Dallas men's soccer team will finish up the home part of their schedule with a pair of games this weekend. The Crusaders (7-4, 6-3 SCAC) will host Texas Lutheran University on Friday (10/19) at 5 p.m. Dallas will host Senior Day against Southwestern University on Sunday (10/21). Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. UD is coming off a 3-0 setback at Trinity University in their last contest. The October 16th contest with Centenary College was postponed due to heavy rainfall in the Dallas area. A make-up date is still being decided for this game.
UD NOTES
- The Crusaders have a trio of player tied for the team-lead in goals. Chase Reynolds (Southlake, Texas), Andrew Ciancone (Houston, Texas), and Sean Taylor (Austin, Texas) all have three goals on the season.
- Reynolds leads the team with 10 points. With his three goals, he also has notched four assists.
- Sean Carlin (Puyallup, Wash.) has produced 29 saves, allowing only nine goals all season. This is good enough for a 0.84 goals-against average.
- On the season the Crusaders have scored seven goals in the 1st half, six in the second half, and two in the second overtime period.
- Dallas continues to outshoot its opponents 177-121.
SENIOR DAY
Prior to the match Dallas will recognize its six seniors; Jacob Chimento (St. Louis, Mo.), Taylor, Eric Haigh (Frisco, Texas), Ciancone, Jaime Nenclares (Colleyville, Texas), and Peter Trevino (Dallas, Texas).
A LOOK AT THE OPPONENTS
(Texas Lutheran University)
- The Bulldogs (8-5, 7-4 SCAC) are coming off a 3-1 win over Johnson & Wales (CO) in their last contest played. TLU's match with Trinity University (10/16) was cancelled.
- Luis Green is the team-leader in goals (13) and points (27).
- Braulio Adam has produced five assists on the year for the team lead.
- Green leads the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) in points, shots (67), and goals.
- Brendan Soto has played 13 games in goal. Soto has a 1.69 goals-against average, allowing 22 goals on the year.
- TLU holds a 7-6 all-time series lead over UD. Dallas won both matches against the Bulldogs last season 1-0, and 3-2.
(Southwestern University)
- The Pirates (9-4-1, 7-3-1 SCAC) are coming off a 3-2 overtime win over Colorado College.
- Jake Swonke leads the team with five goals.
- Swonke has added two assists on the year to grab 12 points for the team lead.
- Sam Laude and Alan Carr have split time at the keeper position. They both are tied for the conference lead allowing only six goals in 2018.
- The Pirates lead the all-time series 14-6 with Dallas. UD has won the past four meetings dating back to October 14, 2016. In their last outing Dallas beat Southwestern 4-1 in the quarterfinals of the SCAC tournament.

Dallas will look to wrap up the regular season with two road tests. The Crusaders will travel to Southwestern University on Friday (10/26) at 5 p.m. UD will then play at Texas Lutheran University on Sunday (10/28) starting at 12 p.m.
