Men's Soccer earns 2017-18 United Soccer Coaches All-Academic Team
IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas men's soccer team was named to the 2017-18 United Soccer Coaches All-Academic Team. The Crusaders that academic year compiled a 3.13 GPA.
Headlining the group with outstanding work in the classroom was three-year letterwinner Trae Hampton, who was the three-time UD Scholar-Athlete of the Year. He and Andrew Ciancone were named to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) All-Academic Team, which requires a cumulative GPA of 3.5. In addition, 24 members of the squad were tabbed on the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Fall Academic Honor Roll.
In total, 778 programs (291 men's and 487 women's) were honored by the USC for posting a team grade point aveage of 3.0 or higher. Of that totals, 195 schools earned honors for both their men's and women's squads.
