KICKOFF

The University of Dallas Men's Soccer team (1-1) will be back home on Friday (Sept. 7) as they begin conference play against Johnson and Wales University at 5 p.m. The Crusaders will also play Colorado College on Sunday (Sept. 9) at 12:00 p.m.


UD NOTES

-Sean Taylor (Austin, Texas) and Andrew Ciancone (Houston, Texas) have a goal apiece to lead the Crusaders.

-Chase Reynolds (Southlake, Texas) has added two points on the season with two assists in the season opening win vs. Sul Ross State University.

-Sean Carlin (Puyallup, Wash.) who contributed his efforts to earn a shutout in game one, allowed one goal in the loss to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor last Sunday (Sept. 2). He has two saves on the year with a .667 save percentage. Despite the loss the Crusaders held the #16 team to only three shots.

-Dallas has outshot its opponents 31-18 on the season.

A LOOK AT THE OPPONENTS

(Johnson and Wales University)

-This will be Johnson and Wales University's first Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) game. They recently were added to the conference this year.

-The Wildcats were selected seventh in the SCAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.

-They are 2-0 on the season after they beat Marian University (Wis.) 1-0.

- The Wildcats' leading goal scorer Oscar Elias, has two goals on the season off of 12 shots taken.

-Alexis Araiza has played all of the minutes this year in goal. He is 2-0 in goal on the season, allowing only one goal producing a save percentage of .667.

-The Crusaders own a 1-0 all-time record against Johnson and Wales.

Wildcats 2018 Season Stats

(Colorado College)

-The Tigers are 1-1 on the season after beating Chapman University 2-0.

-Colorado College was picked second in the SCAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.

-Colorado College has four goals on the season all coming from four different players. Robert Malone, John Schuler, Isaac Kenner, and Josh Raizner have all found the back of the net. CC is averaging 11.5 shots/game.

-Keller Mochel has been in goal for both games for CC. He has allowed three goals on the year and completed 12 saves.

-CC plays at Austin College on Sept. 7 before coming to Crusader Field.

-The Tigers lead the all-time series 10-3.

UP NEXT

Dallas will be on the road for another conference contest at Centenary College of Louisiana on Tuesday (Sept. 11) at 5 p.m. Centenary is 1-1 on the early campaign.
