Men's Soccer Alumni Kenney joined Dallas Coach Staff as Graduate Assistant

IRVING, Texas - Brandon Kenney joined the University of Dallas soccer program as a player in 2003 and returned in 2017 for his 1st season as a Graduate Assistant. He is seeking his general MBA in Business. Kenney already has given positive impact to the program, after being part of a staff that helped SCAC Coach-of-the-Year David Hoffmann guide the Crusaders to its best conference record highlighted with the first tournament victory and advancement to the championship match.

As a student-athlete, Kenney was nominated as the team captain and season MVP his senior season in 2006. He finished his UD career with a 39-25-4 record and a .602 winning percentage.

Upon graduation, Kenney played professionally in the League of Ireland Premier Division for Bray Wanderers Football Club. Kenney continues to support the Crusader Soccer program through alumni activities and fund raising.  In 2010, Kenney co-founded the Crusader Alumni Soccer Fund. CASF's mission is to further the prosperity of the soccer program through alumni involvement and financial support.  Additionally, Brandon established an alumni soccer team where he managed, coached and played at the highest levels of the North Texas Premier Soccer Association, with championships in Divisions 3, 2 & 1B. 

Kenney currently holds a U.S. Soccer National "D" Coaching License and has previously coached for #1 Soccer Camps. 

Kenney was born and raised in Topeka, KS and played for Topeka Select Soccer Club, Kaiser KC and Kansas Select Olympic Development Program. While playing at Hayden High School, Kenney was a four-year starter and won Newcomer of the Year award as a freshman.  In 2000, as a sophomore, he was an integral part of Hayden's State Championship.  Kenney was awarded team captain and MVP in both his junior and senior seasons. Playing honors included Kansas All-Region and All-City.
