Ciancone tabbed SCAC Offensive Player of the Week

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Andrew Ciancone (Houston, Texas) from the University of Dallas men's soccer team was named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Offensive Player of the Week for matches played through October 22nd. He is the third player from Dallas this season to win the honor and second in just as many weeks.

Ciancone previously won SCAC Offensive Player of the Week in 2015 when he had game-winning goals over No. 1 Trinity and Schreiner University.

Ciancone notched three goals in two matches this past week, which included a pair of them coming in a 3-2 conference win over Texas Lutheran University. He had the first two goals on the day, which helped increase his scoring total to four on the year. Ciancone also had a netter that was part of a season-high eight scored by UD in a non-conference victory over Southwestern Adventist University.

The junior nets the latest weekly accolade for a Crusaders team that has won a season-high six games and secured the second-seed in the SCAC Tournament. Dallas is 12-2-2 on the year and has posted its best record in the conference at 10-1-2 to help earn the highest finish since joining the league, too.

Dallas concludes the regular season on October 27th versus Colorado College. It will be "Senior Day" with kickoff slated at 4 p.m.
