Men's Soccer cruises to 10th Win of the Year

IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas men's soccer team dominated Wednesday afternoon with eight different players finding the back of the net en route to an 8-0 victory over Southwestern Adventist University. It was the team's third straight shutout and seventh on the campaign.

Dallas got on the board nearly two minutes into regulation as Nate Riddle (Millsboro, Del.) connected on a reverse kick sending the ball straight to an open net. Chase Reynolds (Southlake, Texas) provided a good cross from the right side of the field that bounced once on in the box before Riddle's second goal in the last three matches.

Hunter Haugland (Bixby, Okla.) posted his seventh goal on the year as Tomas DePetris (Houston, Texas) assisted the second leading scorer about five minutes in. Chima Ogueri (Garland, Texas), Eric Haigh, and Andrew Ciancone (Houston, Texas) all scored respectively to complete the five-goal first half 23:15 minutes into action.

28 different players got time on the pitch in this non-conference outing for the Crusaders. Joseph Christopherson (Swanton, Ohio), Nicholas Opsahl (Boerne, Texas), and Roger-Phillip Mills (Katy, Texas) netted their first collegiate goals in the second frame.

Last time the Crusaders posted at least as many goals as Wednesday's seasn-high was their 9-0 win versus Dallas Christian College on October 21st, 2011. The Crusaders improved to 10-2-2 overall, and eclipsed double-digits in the win column for the first time since 2014. That squad posted a 10-8-2 record.
