Luke Schwarz Named to SCAC 2016 All-Tournament Men's Soccer Team
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) released the 2016 All-Tournament Men's Soccer Team on Tuesday. Luke Schwarz (Tucson, Ariz.) from the University of Dallas was among those listed.
Schwarz posted two shots with one on goal in a 0-0 tie against Texas Lutheran University in the SCAC Quarterfinals last Friday. The junior midfielder also took all five of UD's corner kicks, which included three in the second overtime.
Schwarz shattered personal bests in goals (6), assists (5), and points (17) this fall. He led the squad in almost all major offensive categories and made five of his six goals from penalty kicks. Schwarz was also named United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Player of the Week and earned a mention in the herosports.com weekly recap for the golden goal in a road win at Southwestern University.
Dallas finished the campaign 7-9-3.
Headlining the group were tournament MVPs Christian Sakshaug and Laurence Wyke from SCAC Champion Trinity University.
