Allen makes NSCAA All-West Region Third Team

KANAS CITY, Mo. – The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) released the Division III Men's Soccer All-West Region team Thursday morning. Being tabbed on the third team selections was University of Dallas men's soccer senior Colton Allen (Roanoke, Texas). The forward garners his second NSCAA Honor in his career after being named on the Second Team in 2014.

Allen boasted a solid senior campaign for the Crusaders. The four-year letterwinner ranked second on the team in goals and points with five and ten, respectively. Three of his goals netted him his first career hat trick, and the first for the squad since 2008. The feat came in a team-high, six goals, for the season at Centenary College on October 23. Allen was award Conference Player-of-the-Week after that performance.

Allen also led the team in shot attempts this fall with 38. The forward placed 20 shots on goal for a team-high and displayed a 52.6 shots on goal percentage. He counted one of his goals for a game-winner against Centenary at home this season in a 1-0 final.

Allen claimed postseason accolades for the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC), earning a nod for the second consecutive season on the All-Conference First Team. Allen's teammates also respected the lone senior's leadership, by voting him for the second-straight year as the team's MVP.

"Colton, in my opinion, is one of the best players to pull on a University of Dallas jersey," 12th year head hoach David Hoffmann praised. "It has been great to see him grow as a player, young man, and into the role of captain."

Dallas finished the campaign 8-8-2 overall and 7-4-2 in the SCAC to finish third place. In five years of participation with the league, the Crusaders set a program best seven wins and 23 points.
