Allen claims First Team honors for Men's Soccer to Headline All-SCAC release

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) office released the 2014 All-Conference Men's Soccer Team awards Friday. A trio of athletes from the University of Dallas: junior Colton Allen (Roanoke, Texas), and seniors Matthew Wise (Portland, Ore.) and James Bernard (Sugar Land, Texas).

Allen highlighted the Dallas squad by being named on the All-SCAC Men's Soccer First Team. Wise and Bernard each were tabbed All-SCAC Honorable Mentions for their respective efforts this campaign.

Allen paced the team offensively this year, posting eight goals and accumulating 17 points. The forward was also responsible for three game-winners and both goals in a match versus No. 14 Colorado College at Irving, Dallas, this season.

Wise also cracked double-digits with 15 points for the navy and white, and matched his assist and point totals with five apiece.

Bernard was crucial on the defensive side, helping the Crusaders pitch eight shutouts, which accounted towards 10 overall victories.

On the season, Dallas went 10-8-2 (6-6-2) and claimed the fourth seed in the SCAC Tournament.
