SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The University of Dallas men's soccer team (10-7-1, 6-6-1 SCAC) dropped a 4-0 match at No. 2 Trinity University 17-1, 13-0 SCAC) on Sunday afternoon.

Dallas remains in fourth place in the conference standings heading into the final week of the regular campaign with one contest remaining. The nationally ranked Tigers remain unblemished in league action.

The Crusaders could not halt a three-goal opening half, and would be outshot 35-7 by the home squad in this matchup.

Getting the scoring started for Trinity was Zacharias Edholm with a netter in the 12th minute off an assist from Simon Uribe. About four minutes later, TU doubled the edge as Johnny Lawson found the back of the net and was the second of four individual Tiger players to score in the shutout.

Edholm was involved again getting credited with the setup for the second goal, as he produced a game-high, three points.

Dallas placed a pair of guys with multi-shot games in senior midfielder Nathan Nwaeze (Mansfield, Texas) and sophomore forward Barton Holdridge Fort Worth, Texas) at two each.

Holdridge tallied one of the two shots on goal for the Crusaders. Freshman defender Luke Schwarz (Tucson, Ariz.) recorded the other shot on target for the navy and white.

A trio of goalkeepers spent time in the net for Dallas. Sophomore P.J. Hasson (Fairfax, Va.) received the start and worked the first 45 minutes in the opening frame for UD. He allowed three goals and collected two saves.

Sophomore Tino Gamueda (Lubbock, Texas) began the second half and allowed a goal as he nabbed a team-best four goals in 37:12 minutes of action.

Senior Patrick Fanizza (Markham, Ontario) earned his first start this season, and added a save through 7:48 minutes.  

Next Opponent:

Dallas concludes the regular season on Nov. 1 hosting Austin College for "senior day." Kickoff is slated for 12 p.m.

The Crusaders topped Austin, 2-1, a little less than a week ago.
