IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas men's soccer team (9-5, 5-4 SCAC) set a season-long, five-game winning streak while besting Centenary College of Louisiana (4-7-3, 1-6-3 SCAC) for its eighth shutout, 2-0.

The last four victories for Dallas have counted towards its 411:57 minute stretch of holding opponents scoreless. The Crusaders also moved to above .500 within conference play for the first time on the campaign, and remain in fourth place.

The home squad produced one of its higher shooting outputs this season, reflecting a 30-10 edge over Centenary.

Regardless, the navy and white were ahead 1-0 heading into the break, thanks to a penalty kick by senior midfielder Matthew Wise (Portland, Ore.).

Wise did boast a game-high, nine shot attempts while posting four of his season-best total on the target. At the 59:41 minute mark, the Crusaders doubled their advantage with another penalty kick from Friday's hero.

The pair of goals increases the senior's amount on the year to four, and propels him to second on the squad with 12 points. Wise is the second Crusader reflecting double-digits in that category and leaves him a point behind junior forward Colton Allen (Roanoke, Texas).

Senior midfielder Nathan Nwaeze (Mansfield, Texas) followed behind with a solid day placing two of his five attempts as shots on goal, while sophomore forward Ben Mannings (Bath, England) added three.

Five players contributed a pair of shots which included: freshman midfielder Luke Schwarz (Tucson, Ariz.), senior defender Mikhail Castillo (Round Rock, Texas), Allen, senior midfielder Aaron Hegemann (Beaumont, Texas), and senior defender James Bernard (Sugar Land, Texas).

Sophomore goalkeeper P.J. Hasson (Fairfax, Va.) drew the start and recorded the win (3-2) after snatching a save in the opening frame. Fellow teammate keeper Tino Gamueda (Lubbock, Texas) also earned action between the posts, notching two saves in the remaining 45 minutes.
