SEGUIN, Texas – The University of Dallas men's soccer team (8-5, 4-4 SCAC) won its fourth match in a row, defeating Texas Lutheran University (5-6-2, 3-5-1 SCAC) for the second consecutive week.

Dallas prevailed 1-0 off a late goal at the 78:15 minute mark by senior midfielder Matthew Wise (Portland Ore.). It was the first netter of the campaign for Wise and increases his point total to six, tying him second on the squad with Ben Mannings.

Freshman midfielder Joseph Quiray (Sugar Land, Texas), playing in his fourth contest of the year, notched his first assist matching his point total in his collegiate season debut.

Texas Lutheran did hold an 18-12 shot advantage, but the Crusaders did capitalize in the second half, as Wise matched a team-high, three shot attempts, and pushed across the game-winner. Joining the Portland, Oregon, native, in the shooting effort was junior forward Colton Allen (Roanoke, Texas)with a trio of shots, too.

Sophomore forward Barton Holdridge (Fort Worth, Texas) also added a multi-shot showing for the navy and white with two attempts.

The road squad did place seven shots on goal, just one shy of TLU's eight hitting the target.

Sophomore goalkeeper duo P.J. Hasson (Fairvax, Va.) and Tino Gamueda (Lubbock, Texas) each saw 45 minutes of action, as Hasson earned the start in this match.

The two keepers have worked at compiling seven shutouts on the season. That total ties with Colorado College and Trinity University in the league.

Hasson deflected six saves, while Gamueda was credited with two, but faced 12 shots in the second frame by the Bulldogs.

With the victories over a pair of important foes on the road, Dallas moves into fourth place behind Southwestern University. The Crusaders also improve to 4-2 away from the home confines.
