IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas men's soccer team (6-5, 2-4 SCAC) claimed a 1-0 victory at home over Texas Lutheran University (4-5-2, 2-4 SCAC) on Sunday afternoon. Dallas has won back-to-back contests since opening the campaign 4-0, both occurring against conference opponents.

Junior forward Colton Allen (Roanoke, Texas) provided the lone goal necessary, his second game-winner of the year, at the 30:34 minute mark of the match. Allen's netter was the team-leading fifth on the season, and came from senior midfielder Matthew Wise (Portland Ore.).

Wise assisted two goals this weekend, doubling his total to four and tying him second on the squad with six points. Sophomore forward Ben Mannings (Bath, England) also matches Wise's total and both sit behind Allen, who boasts 11 in that category.

The Crusaders remained in front heading into halftime, and the scoreboard would remain the same throughout regulation.

Even though the team was outshot by Texas Lutheran 16-10, it was one of Allen's team-best, three shot attempts that found the back of the net. The forward was perfect going three-for-three putting the ball on goal, and accounted for all the shots on goal by the navy and white.

Sophomore defender Austin Strain (Lucas, Texas) and Mannings added two shots apiece in the triumph.

Splitting 45 minutes apiece in the goal were sophomore keepers P.J. Hasson (Fairfax, Va.) and Tino Gamueda (Lubbock, Texas), combining for the fifth shutout by Dallas.

Gamueda (5-3) earned the start and win after deflecting three shots on goal from the Bulldogs in the opening frame. Hasson picked up a save and faced nine shots in the second half.

Next Opponent:

Texas Lutheran will host Austin College prior to the Crusaders match-up in a week. The Bulldogs defeated Austin last Friday, 1-0 in Sherman, Texas.
