SHREVEPORT, La. – The University of Dallas men's soccer team (4-4, 0-3 SCAC) dropped a 2-0 contest at Centenary College of Louisiana (4-2-1, 1-2-1 SCAC) on Friday night. It is the fourth-straight match the Crusaders have fallen in.

Dallas did have opportunities, pounding 17 shots in the game compared to five from the Gents. The road squad also placed 10 shots on goal, totaling the second highest on the season, but was unable to break past the goalkeeper from Centenary, Rylan Whan.

Sophomore goalkeeper P.J. Hasson was saddled with the loss. He garnered two saves in 90 minutes of play. 

Senior midfielder Matthew Wise (Portland, Ore.) accumulated six shots, and landed four of them on goal for a .667 shot on goal percentage. Junior forward Colton Allen (Roanoke, Texas) amassed five shots. 

Sophomore defender Austin Strain (Lucas, Texas) rounded out the trio of multi-shot players, with a perfect two-for-two at shots on goal.

Helping pressure the goalkeeper with attempts finding the target were freshman midfielder Luke Schwarz (Tucson, Ariz.), sophomore forward Stephen Gahan (Vancover, Wash.), and senior midfielder Juan Hernandez-Reyes (The Woodlands, Texas).

The first goal of the night for the maroon and white occurred at the 19 minute mark. Ivann Amaya lifted the Gents to a 1-0 edge that remained through halftime.

An insurance goal was delivered by Hunter Paul in the 89th minute.

Dallas will finish its weekend road trip with a match in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The Crusaders kickoff against No. 19 Colorado College on Sunday, Sept. 28 at 11 a.m. (MDT). Colorado defeated Austin College by a score of 2-0 on Friday to remain unbeaten in the league.
