IRVING, Texas- The University of Dallas men's soccer team (2-0) has pitched consecutive shutouts as a result of their 3-0 win over Southwestern College (Kan.) on Sunday afternoon at Crusader Field.

Sophomore forward Ben Mannings (Bath, England) scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 31st minute against the Moundbuilders (0-1). He was assisted by junior forward Colton Allen (Roanoke, Texas). 

Dallas doubled their advantage to 2-0 -- in the 75th minute -- on a goal from senior midfielder Matthew Wise (Portland, Ore.). He was assisted by sophomore midfielder Kevin Key (Carlisle, Pa.). 

In the 81st minute, Allen rounded-out scoring as he managed a goal of his own. Wise and sophomore defender Tommy Byrd (Mansfield, Texas) both assisted Allen, who finished with a match-high 11 shots and seven shots on goal. 

Through two games, Allen has tallied a team-high 17 shots, eight shots on goal and five points. 

The Crusaders outshot the road team 31-18 in the contest. Southwestern's goalkeeper Cullen Grantham (0-1) finished with 12 saves. 

Freshman goalkeeper P.J. Hasson (Fairfax, Va.) and sophomore goalkeeper Tino Gamueda (Lubbock, Texas) combined for seven saves in the shutout bid. 

Hasson (2-0) worked the first half, and amassed four saves, while Gamueda helped secure the victory with three saves in the final frame. Both goalies faced nine shots.

Dallas heads to McMinnville, Ore., to combat Linfield College (1-1) at 2:30 p.m. (PDT) on Saturday, Sept. 6.
