IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas men's soccer team (1-0) kicked-off their 36th season in program history, with a 1-0 win over Concordia University (0-1), on Friday afternoon at Crusader Field.

Junior forward Colton Allen (Roanoke, Texas) scored the game-winning goal in the 16th minute, on a double assist from sophomore forward/winger Barton Holdridge (Fort Worth, Texas) and freshman midfielder Luke Schwarz (Tucson, Ariz.).

Allen finished with six shots to lead the navy and white in the category. Senior midfielder Nathan Nwaeze (Mansfield, Texas) managed five of his own to help Dallas outshoot the Tornados by a 15-10 margin.

Sophomore goalkeepers Tino Gamueda (Lubbock, Texas) and P.J. Hasson (Fairfax, Va.) split time in net for head coach David Hoffmann's squad.

Gamueda was the winning 'keeper of record. Hasson fortified the pipes for the second half, and tallied four saves in the combined-shutout effort. 

Next Opponent: 

Dallas takes to the pitch with Southwestern College (Kan.) on Sunday in a 12 p.m. contest.
