Govea does it again in OT; 94th-minute score gives Men's Soccer 1-0 win over Millsaps College (MS)

IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas men's soccer team (3-1) triumphed to a 1-0 overtime victory on Saturday afternoon over Millsaps College (Miss.), as familiar faces led the Crusader charge.

In the 94th-minute, freshman forward Cristian Govea (Houston, Texas) netted his second overtime game-winning goal of the season. He had previously helped Dallas sink Concordia University in the team's home-opener.

Freshman midfielder Colton Allen (Roanoke, Texas) made a long run from left-back and then played a perfect cross to Govea, who knocked the ball into the back of the goal.

Govea had previously missed what would have been a highlight-reel volley off a 30-yard cross from freshman defender Luke Christianson (Calgary, Canada).

Sophomore center back James Bernard (Sugar Land, Texas) stopped an open-net shot to preserve the scoreless-tie late in the second half.

Millsaps (1-2) proved a worthy opponent, consistently pressuring the Crusader defense. The Majors outshot Dallas, 24-14.

James Kerin (East Greenwich, R.I.) turned in yet another stellar performance, as the senior goalkeeper fended off seven shots on goal to record his third shutout of the season.
