Men’s Soccer falls to Our Lady of the Lake Saints

The University of Dallas men's soccer team (2-4) lost a home match Wednesday to Our Lady of the Lake University, 0-4.

UD started the game off well as both teams tested each others strengths and weaknesses. Our Lady of the Lake then pulled ahead in the first half scoring two goals. With a 2-0 lead going into the second half, the Saints were able to score two more goals, one deflected off the outstretched hands of the UD goalie.

Dallas had 14 shots with three of them almost goals, two shot by senior co-captain Ryan Meske (Niwot, CO/Niwot H.S.) and one by freshman defender Braden Sanchez (Edmond, Okla./Edmond Memorial H.S.). Freshman goalies Sam Carter (Chicago, Ill.) and Anthony Zaragoza (El Paso, Texas/Franklin City H.S.) each had 2 saves and 45 minutes in goal, while Carter got the starting nod.

Dallas will travel to Demorest, Ga., for their next game against Piedmont College on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 1:00 p.m.
