UD Men's Lacrosse Plays on Home Field for the First Time in 2021 on Sunday

IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas men's lacrosse team fell 30-2 against Southwestern University on Sunday afternoon in what was the first home match on the season.

Dallas received goals from Matt Senter (Dallas, Texas) in the second quarter and Preston Thompson (Franklin, Tenn.) in the third quarter. Thompson also had an assist and was able to score in a man-up situation. Michael White (Colleyville, Texas) was able to garner 22 saves against 52 shots faced in 60 minutes in the cage.

The Pirates had a pair of players put in six goals with Jacob Hamilton and Nick Doxey achieving the feat. The top scoring duo contributed in the assists column as Hamilton totaled eight points for a team-best. Zac Asbury matched Doxey with seven points thanks to four assists and a hat trick. Hudson Bearden won all 36 faceoffs in the match too for Southwestern.

Dallas (0-3) is scheduled to play the Pirates (2-2) in Georgetown on Sunday, April 18 at 1 p.m. The following week is supposed to be the regular season finale against Centenary College at home on Apr. 24 at 1 p.m.
