THE LEAD VS. FRANCISCAN UNIVERSITY
The University of Dallas men's lacrosse team plays its fourth home match in a row with Franciscan University visiting for a 4 p.m. start. A week ago, the Crusaders played their closest match of the season with a 14-13 setback to Hilbert College. The team's 6-1 rally in the fourth fell short with three chances to tie in the closing seconds not coming through.
Jake Frederick (Coppell, Texas) put together career-highs in goals (6), ground balls (12), and faceoff wins (14). He leads the offense with nine goals this season. Tucker Jameson (Mechanicsville, Md.) and Austin Gibbons (St. Charles, Ill.) found the scoring column that last match with three and two, respectively.
Dallas is 0-1 against Franciscan, with the teams meeting in Irving on March 11, 2016.
The Barons are winless this season as well with an 0-3 mark. Keep an eye on Dominic Rohan, who is the leader in goals and points this season with six and nine, respectively.
