FIRST FACEOFF
The University of Dallas men's lacrosse team is back home to open a five-game home stretch starting with Centenary College to close out February. The match will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Dallas (1-2) is coming off a pair of tough losses on the road, with the most recent last Sunday at Huntingdon College.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW FOR UD
- Tyler Smith (Snoqualmie, Wash.), Tucker Jameson (Mechanicsville, Md.), and Austin Gibbons (St. Charles, Ill.) are the top players on the Crusaders in points (11, 10, 9) and goals (10, 9, 8).
- Cole Griffin has played 165 minutes in goal and made 52 saves against 176 shots faced.
- Dallas has scored 13 goals in each quarter of the first half and seven goals in each quarter of the second half.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Dallas is 4-1 overall against the Gents and 3-1 in Irving.
- These teams last met in 2015, when UD went 2-0.
ABOUT CENTENARY
- The Gents are 0-2 on the season with setbacks to Hendrix College and Dallas Baptist University.
- Centenary re-added its program this season and are club affiliated.
- The Gents will sponsor NCAA Division III Varsity in 2020 and join the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) where they compete with Dallas in eight other sports.
