Men's Lacrosse concluded 2017 slate at Colorado College Saturday

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Dallas men's lacrosse team closed its 2017 season with a 25-1 setback at Colorado College on Saturday. An 11-0 score after the first quarter propelled the Tigers (10-4) into control early. Dallas (2-12) has concluded the season under first year head coach Sam Ashton.
NOTABLE STATISTICS

- Peter Early (San Antonio, Texas) scored the lone goal for the Crusaders. That gives the team- leader exactly 20. He tied last year's point total with 29 in three less games played this spring.
- Early tallied all three of his shots on goal.
- Patrick Smith (Cumming, Ga.) added a perfect shot on goal percentage with two. He added a pair of groundballs.
- Christian Lopez (Las Vegas, Nev.) garnered 17 saves in the goalkeeper position. He notched eight in the fourth quarter. That was his fifth highest of the campaign. The top four all eclipsed 20 stops.
- 16 players for Colorado College scored in this game.
- Sam Sheridan led all scorers with four goals and was one-of-five players with multiple assists with two. Jackson Kaplan and Austin Davie each notched a trio of goals for the remaining hat tricks.
- Ethan Moore had the most helpers with three.

- Dallas was outshot 62-6. This included the first 27 taken by the home squad.
- The Crusaders were 7-of-14 in successful clears. This included a perfect second quarter.
- UD committed 15 turnovers, which was one shy of last night's season-low 14 at Johnson & Wales University.
- Five of Dallas' six shot attempts landed on cage.
- The Tigers picked up 41 groundballs compared to UD's eight.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Tigers pounced for 11 goals in the first quarter and never trailed as the Black and Gold improved to its 10th win of the year. Parker Woo took a fast score less than 10 seconds into action. A couple moments later Davie produced his first-of-two goals in the stanza. His second was the fourth goal of the match. Tyler Borko had scored the previous one with Aaron Maslow earning the team's first assist.
After seeing the advantage balloon to double-digits, the Crusaders held their opposition to quarter-low three goals in the second. Each one was assisted as Moore, Ben Sudduth, and Sheridan netted the respective goals.
Down 14-0 at intermission, the Tigers increased the lead with a trio of early goals just over two minutes into the next quarter. The momentum carried on as Colorado College added six in that frame and five in the last 15 minutes.
UD's Early scored with 8:32 left in the fourth.
