Men's Golf in Fourth at Rhodes Spring Classic

MILLINGTON, Tenn. - The University of Dallas men's golf team wrapped up their first two rounds of play in the Rhodes Spring Classic hosted by Rhodes College on Sunday.  The Crusaders are in fourth place in the field of nine teams after posting a 36-hole score of 617 (+41).  They have a 10 stroke lead over Grinnell College and Hendrix College, who are tied for fifth, and are 11 strokes behind third place Belhaven University.

Center College are the team leaders with a score of 591 (+15), holding a narrow four stroke advantage over the hosts, Rhodes who sit at +19.

Foster Wood of Rhodes College is the individual leader with a 36-hole score of 146 (+2), shooting rounds of 71 and 75.  

Last week's SCAC Golfer of the Week Rex Soulliere sits in a three-way tie for seventh after firing rounds of 76 and 75, and is currently at +7 for the tournament.  He is just four strokes back from a podium finish.

Michael Zhang and Trey Schneider are neck and neck at +9 and +10, respectively.  Zhang is in a five-way tie for 13th after firing rounds of 75 and 78, and Schneider is in a three-way tie for 18th with rounds of 76 and 78. 

Iana Griggs is T31 with a two-round score of 160 (+16), Antonio Alvarez is in 50th with a score of 172 (+28), and Sei Sato Uehara is T51 with a score of 173 (+29).

The tournament will conclude with 18 holes tomorrow, scheduled for a 1:15pm shotgun start
