Men's Golf in Fifth Place at SCAC Championship

KERRVILLE, Texas - The University of Dallas men's golf team finished up day one of competition in the SCAC Championship, hosted by Schreiner University, on Monday.  The Crusaders currnetly sit in fifth place with a two-round score of 619 (+43).  They are 10 strokes behind fourth place Southwestern University, and three strokes ahead of sixth place Texas Lutheran.  The University of St. Thomas have a one stroke lead over Trinity University, finishing the day in first place with a two-round score of 590.

Daniel Nunez of Trinity has a commanding lead at -4 for the tournament, his 64 in round one being the low round of the day by a wide margin.

Trey Schneider leads the pack for UD after 36 holes, shooting a 75 and a 77 to finish the day T13 at +8.  Jackson Lehner shot 76 and 77 to finish one stroke behind Schneider +9, and Rex Soulliere is right behind at +11.  Karsten Paciotti is in 31st at +19, and Mason Hitt and Anthony Prudence round out the field for Dallas T35 at +28.

The early tee time tomorrow is at 8:40 a.m, the final group will tee off from Hole 10 at 9:35 a.m.
