Dallas Takes Eighth at Crusader Invitational
THACKERVILLE, Okla. - The University of Dallas men's golf team wrapped up the fall portion of their season by hosting the Crusader Invitational. With Monday's round suspended due to inclement weather, a single round of 18 was played on Tuesday. The Crusaders took eighth place in the field of 13 schools with a final score of 308; they finished five strokes ahead of Concordia-Texas, and two strokes behind Trinity University. Letourneau University were the champions with a final score of 291, with UTD the runners-up at 298.
Karsten Paciotti and Jackson Lehner paced the team in a nine-way tie for 19th at +4 on the day. Paciotti aprred five striaght holes to open his round and was very much in the hunt for a top three finish at +2 on the front nine. Lehner birded on nine to also go into the back nine at +2. They would end up four strokes out from a four-way tie for third place and six strokes behind the individual champion, Kaiden Schneider of LeTourneau.
Rex Soulliere was not far behind them, finishing in a nine-way tie for 28th at +5 for the day. Trey Schneider and Mason Hitt both finished at +7, while Anthony Prudence was +8 for the day.
