Crusaders Finish Day One of SCAC Championship

BLANCO, Texas - The University of Dallas men's golf team got through day one of the SCAC Championship tournament tied for fourth place with a one day, two round team score of 608.  They are currently +42 for the tournament, tied with Texas Lutheran and 27 strokes behind the leaders and hosts, Trinity University (591, +15).  

Jackson Lehner got off to a blistering start for the Crusaders, sitting in first place after round one as the only player to shoot under 70.  His round one score of 69 is tied for the second lowest round of the season by a UD athlete, second only to Karsten Paciotti's back-to-back 68's at the UTD Lidlifter in February.  Going into championship day, Lehner currently sits tied for fourth after shooting a 75 in round two and is five strokes behind the leader, Christian Rodriguez of Southwestern.

Rex Soulliere is T10 at 151 (+7), Karsten Paciotti is in a five-way tie for 15th at 153 (+9), with Trey Schneider (27th, 160) and Mason Hitt (40, 177) rounding out the field for Dallas.
