Crusaders Men's Golf Opens Spring Season at Alamo City Classic

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The University of Dallas men's golf team starts the 2021 spring golf season on Monday and Tuesday February 8 and 9. The Crusaders will be taking part in their first tournament since last March as they will play in the Alamo City Classic down in San Antonio. The still reigning South Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Champions have a roster of seven golfers, including returning all five members of the 2019 SCAC Championship team. Those five golfers are: Erik Hamm (Brentwood, Tenn), Emilio Montalvo (Mexico City, Mexico), Jacob Wade (Houston, Texas), Seth McNeill (Plano, Texas), and Robby Evans (Flower Mound, Texas).

THINGS TO NOTE

Hamm has been twice awarded the honor of All-Conference; 2nd Team All-SCAC in 2017 and 1st Team All-SCAC in 2019.  He also finished tied for second overall at the 2019 SCAC Championshis with a three round score of 217.

Montalvo was awarded the honor of All-Conference in 2019; 1st Team All-SCAC.  Montalvo also finished tied for second overall with Hamm at the 2019 SCAC Championship with a three round score of 217.

Wade has been twice awarded the honor of All-Conference; 1st Team All-SCAC in 2018 and 2nd Team All-SCAC in 2019.  He also finished tied for sixth at the 2019 SCAC Championship with a three round score of 223.

McNeil scored in two of the three rounds of the 2019 SCAC tournament and finished tied for 16th with a three round of 232.

Evans was awarded the honor of All-Conference in 2018; 2nd Team All-SCAC.  He also won the Alamo City Classic back in October of 2017 at which he set the UD single round record of 65 strokes.
