Crusaders Tied 5th after 2 Rounds of Rhodes College Fall Classic

ROBINSONVILLE, Miss. – The University of Dallas men's golf team completed two rounds (36 holes) at the Rhodes College Fall Classic at the Tunica National on Sunday. Dallas ended the day tied fifth with Piedmont College with a 593 in the team standings.

The Crusaders shot 299 in the first round, led by Jacob Wade (Magnolia, Texas) with a 72. Emilio Montalvo (Mexico City, Mexico) and Robby Evans (Flower Mound, Texas) each carded a 74.

In the second round, UD improved by shooting a 294. Montalvo put together his best round of the fall season with a 70. The junior matched Wade with a 144 overall to be tied 11th. Wade carded a 72 to match the lowest overall Dallas two-round score.  Erik Hamm (Brentwood, Tenn.) posted a 73 in this later round to improve on his 79 score for a 152.

Huntingdon College leads all teams with a 570 (290, 280). Southwestern University sits second with a 579 (290, 289), and Webster University rounds out the top three with a 586 (300, 286).

Drew Mathers from the Hawks is in first with a 135 (65, 70), as he carded the lowest score in the field during the first round. Denison University's Christian Early is in second with a 68 in each round for a 136. Southwestern's Cade Osgood sits third after two rounds with a 141 (73, 68).
