UD Men's Golf in 4th after Round One of Rockwind Links Intercollegiate
HOBBS, N.M. – The University of Dallas men's golf team finished the first round of the Rockwind Links Intercollegiate at Rockwind Community Links on Sunday. Robby Evans (Flower Mound, Texas) shot a 71 (-1) to tie for second in the individual standings. Evans was a stroke off from matching his third-round result a couple days ago. He also matched the top Par 3 Scoring with 2.80 (-1) with three other golfers. His four Birdies were tied for third.
Jacob Trevino (Lake Forest, Ill.) made his collegiate debut with a 79 to tie Jacob Wade (Magnolia, Texas). Erik Hamm (Brentwood, Tenn.) added a 77.
The Crusaders are currently fourth after a 306 just got them in front of Texas Lutheran University by a stroke. Host McMurry University is ahead 289, with Elliot Bourke from its team being the best golf performer on the day with a 69.
Hardin-Simmons University sits in second with a 299 and fellow Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Schreiner University ends the day in third with a 300.
