Schuberg tabbed SCAC Golfer of the Week for the 1st time this Spring (3rd Overall 2016-17)
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) announced Thomas Schuberg (Camarillo, Calif.) from the University of Dallas earned Golfer of the Week for his play in the Pinecrest Intercollegiate earlier this week. This is the 3rd time in Schuberg's career to win this recognition. The Crusaders top golfer did get named twice in the fall part of the season.
Schuberg started the 2017 spring opener two strokes shy of tying his personal low with a 74. That had tied him for 18th at the end of the first round. The sophomore lost some legging in the standings on the second round that same day, but did respond in the final round Tuesday with a 75 and compiled a 228 overall. He ranked 23 out of all individuals, but was 12th out of the university golfers.
Dallas is back on the course March 20-21 at Centenary Hal Sutton in Shreveport, Louisiana. Fellow SCAC foe Centenary College will be hosting after these two squads also participated in the tournament in Longview, Texas, earlier this week.
