QUOTABLES

"This week we ran into a lot of the same problems that we have all year...we haven't been able to avoid the big number too well. But even with those things stacked against us this group was able to break some school records and perform at a high level in flashes. On the good side of the ball, both Tommy and Matt set new personal lows, which was exciting to be a part of. Tommy has really taken off this year and been a constant in our lineup. I'm really proud of the hard work and open mind that he has had in order to get better, we know that the sky is the limit for him and are excited to see what the future holds. Matt really played well today as well. He has a great attitude, and with continued work he is only going to get better and better. While Jake struggled a bit today, yesterday he put together the best ball striking round I have seen him have all year. Given the off-season, he will only get better. He is really close, and once he starts clicking on all cylinders he is going to go really low. Erik didn't have his best stuff this week. Typically, he makes quite a few birdies. This week he only made 1. He was never really able to get going, but he grinded very hard and scrapped together a salvageable round today. Ollie has been making some swing changes all year. In spurts, he hits the ball incredible. But with change sometimes comes inconsistency. And I believe that was the biggest issue this week. The off-season will be key for him, to get some more reps and begin to feel a bit more comfortable with the changes." - Head Coach Garrett Smith thoughts on player performances this tournament

"Overall, the fall season was a tremendous success. We were able to reach heights that have never been seen at UD. We broke several scoring records and intend on breaking them again this spring. Even so, we have played nowhere near our potential all season. But, with some focused and targeted work moving forward we will get there and go even further. I'm excited to see where this group can go and look forward to getting better each and every day." - Coach Smith on his team's first fall season together and outlook for spring
