Day 1 of UMHB Fall Invite Complete; Men's Golf 10th place

KILLEEN, Texas – The University of Dallas men's golf team completed round one of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Fall Invitational on Monday at the Stonetree Golf Club. Dallas ranks 10th out of 13 spots in the team standings after the first 18 holes. The Crusaders accumulated a 324 overall.

Leading for UD individually were Erik Hamm (Brentwood, Tenn.) and Thomas Schuberg (Camarillo, Calif.). The duo tied 21st and each posted a 77 (+5 par). Hamm shot his lowest round since debuting this fall with a 74 in the Louisiana College Fall Invite. Schuberg was one stroke off from his previous performance nearly a week ago that earned him his second Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Golfer of the Week in three weeks.

Jacob Wade (Magnolia, Texas) and Oliver Rivers (Horsham West, England) were the other pair of golfers participating on the links Monday and matched results with a display of 85.

Host school UMHB sat in first place at the end of the first day with a team score of 283. Mats Heien, Alden Fortner, and Kyle Revis were tied atop the individual standings with round-lows of 70 apiece. The former two in that list were with the Crusaders team ranked in first while Revis headlined UMHB's other group in third place (295). SE Oklahoma State University (292) completes the top three team standings with a second place showing.
