Schuberg named SCAC Men's Golfer of the Week
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Thomas Schuberg of the University of Dallas was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for competitions played through Tuesday, September 20. The native of (Camarillo, Calif.) garnered his first career conference honor and second for the program since Chris Eckes earned the nod in for the week through March 17, 2015.
Schuberg posted a 36-hole score of 152 (+8) to tie with teammate Erik Hamm for third place at the Louisana College Fall Invitational. He also posted a career-low round of 74 on Tuesday, leading to a personal best score for the entire tournament.
Schuberg led the Crusaders to a second place finish behind host Louisiana College. UD set new records for both single-round score (309) and two-roudn score (629).
The Crusaders will compete next in a duel against Hendrix College on October 1-2. Both competitions are local but a course location is yet to be determined.
