QUOTABLE

"I was encouraged by the play. For the majority of the round, every player played fairly well. That was no more evident, than with Erik. He got off to a bit of a rock start, bogeying his first three holes. But he showed guts and a great ability to grind out a round to shoot 74 today and be just one back of the lead. Thomas battled all day. When he gets some putts to fall, he is going to shoot some really low numbers. The other three guys are starting to show signs of great play, just need to put together everything in one day. Overall, if we can put together a complete round from start to finish, and eliminate the big numbers, I think we have a tremendous chance to win tomorrow." - Head Coach Garrett Smith on his team's performance in Round 1

The tournament concludes tomorrow morning with day two.
