Weather stalls Round 1 of Men's Golf SCAC Championship

BLANCO, Texas – The University of Dallas men's golf team competed in day one of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Championships hosted at the Vaaler Golf Club on Monday. Poor weather halted the opening round as none of the competitors completed 18 holes.

The remainder of the opening round will be completed when play resumes at 8 a.m. Tuesday morning. Once the first round is complete, pairings will be determined and both genders will attempt to complete a second 18 holes, weather permitting. Originally scheduled to play 54 holes, the men's teams will now compete a 36-hole event.

Currently, Southwestern University sits atop the leaderboard. For Dallas, a quartet of competitors: Sebastian Mireles (Mourovia, Cali.), Paul Scully (Hackensack, N.J.), Oliver Rivers (Horsham West Sussex, England), and Thomas Schuberg (Camarillo, Calif.) have battled on the links.
